I'm normal - for a 60 year old woman.

You know how they say that the stupid stuff you did when you were young and (delusional that you were invincible) is going to catch up and kick your @ss? Yeah...had that first had experience this week.

There's something powerful about being face to face with your mortality. I've been in certain situations where I've had near misses but this one was just beyond words.

After the "episode" they ran the entire workup tests on me, just to make sure that I'm not going to conk out anytime soon. The initial findings were disturbing so that had to do more tests.

Long story short, I'm normal...for a 60 year old woman suffering from a circulatory disease. Well, a mild stroke for a 34 year old woman isn't normal anyway.

Apparently, I'm missing a major artery in my brain. At least now I know my insanity is not chemically induced - it's really biological.

This experience has taught me a lot - from enjoying the smiple things in life to finding happiness. It also taught me that sleeping is essential, stress is annoying and can really kill you.

But while I'm still alive and kicking, don't expect me to be walking with my head bowed down. I'm still going to be the devil.
