Isn't that funny? But it's the truth! When logic or even common sense does not suffice, we'd rather focus on the inane and irrational - thinking that it's a better explanation, or rather justification, to our actions, thoughts and deeds.
That's why we immediately assume that our neighbor is a drug dealer or drug lord, when we see that they never come out at night and a plethora of automobiles flock their garage and the street right out front. That's why we assume that our female roomie is an aswang because we don't know what is it exactly that he eats.
