For quite some time now, I have had this feeling that I've been born in this world with tragedy attached to my ass. It seems that a major tragedy strikes on my birthday. I've had storms and typhoons and earthquakes happening on my birthday. My favorite so far is the 1999 Jellyfish attack on a power plant causing a major blackout and it was also on the same day that there was that 6.8 magnitude earthquake.

There's a list on Wikipedia about the different historical events on December the 11th. I found a new favorite - the bomb that exploded on a Philippine Air Lines plane but the pilot was able to land the plane safely. Either there was a major catastophe or there was an achievement in sports!

My wonderful and amazing cousins came to spend the weekend with me here in JAX. (Bakit ka guapo, kuya? "Kasi nga!")

I feel so sad that they've left yet again. I wish we can just hang out more. It would be so nice to have them in the motherland, at least soon. They can play with the kids and just enjoy a relaxing vacation.

They got me a birthday gift too. (which they didn't have to, because them being in Jax is huge enough of a gift. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the gift and I am now waiting for iTunes to download as I type, but it's too much. Very much appreciated, but too much. Did I say ayelavit already?)

I'm going to be another year older on Tuesday. I thought it was going to be such a lonely birthday since I'm so far away from family. Turns out, someone up there seems to like me.

The guys from work gave me an asalto (pre birthday party) and it was so much fun! They gave me a nice dinner (granted, I had to cook something, but that's such a small price to pay for all the fun we had) and gave me a birthday cake. Fiona, it was yummy!! Thank you so much.

Shout outs to Jason and Fiona Key, their kids, Sierra and Tucker for making my Stateside birthday in Charlotte so memorable. Thank you to Kitchie, Marshall, Kathy, Charlene, Jason, Sly, Don and Roxy for being there and for providing entertainment. Thank you so much to Kris who gave me wonderful gifts for my birthday. (Where's your birthday party at, biatch? Hahaha!)

My cousins are also here in Jacksonville to celebrate with me. They flew all the way from NYC and Allentown, PA just to be with me.

I think with age, I'm becoming older, bolder, wiser and fiercer.

I know that when I come back home, I'll have a wonderful post birthday celebration with my family - the kids and mom and especially my hubby.
