Yesterday was probably one of the more frustrating days I've ever had in a very long time. It wasn't so much that things were being run by Murphy or anything (I've already had that a couple of days ago) but it was more of a helplessness and hopelessness that made me so frustrated.
A very good friend and I were talking about how we want to make a change, a positive change in this world. You try to smile at strangers, you try to help out people who you think need help, you try to show kindness but all they do is either doubt your intentions, scoff at you or be totally rude. It's frustrating to show kindness when you can't get kindness in return.
But what do you do? Do you stop from smiling? Do you still your self from offering that hand? Do you start regretting acts of random kindness?
You can't. You don't. If you stop then all hope is lost.
If you want to make a change, start with yourself. Start now.
