I should have seen that one coming...
I should know by now that rugs are pulled out from under me the moment I feel any kind of stability. It's one of those universal constants - like how the sun rises and sets.
I feel like I'm missing a limb. There's a hollow and I'm slowly being sucked in and soon enough I'll be lost.
It's so tempting to just give in. To walk on the ledge with my four inch heels on, arms splayed and face to the sky. The call is so seductive that it might just take a few more words, a few more disappointments, just a few more secrets before I succumb to the idea.
But I'm a coward. I'm too afraid to jump. I'd rather be pushed. And maybe that's what I'm doing - I'm provoking you or anyone who'd give a flying crap, to push me.
So, I'll stand here and wait. I'll drink in the view, just because it's a fucking hell of a view, and I'll wait...
