This news article here made me feel so depressed. An 11 year commits suicide by hanging herself with a nylon rope. She was so poor that she could not even go to school because her family didn't have enough for transportation fare.
We just finished doing the whole cultural integration seminar and there are a lot of things that make the Filipino great, but we've got our skeletons as well. I am in shock seeing the way people here are so wasteful. They throw out food and stuff without a second thought and it pains me to see that because these things can make an entire family in the Philippines happy.
This is disturbing. We should be able to do something for everyone.
