Supernatural Season 5 Theories

Posted by The Red Devil on Friday, August 07, 2009 in ,

Last season, I came up with some theories about Season 4. Granted, some of them were spot on but some were a little off the grid (and way off tangent!)

For this season, here are my theories (although some of them are influenced by the comic con spoilers and such).

1. I think the Apocalypse won't be the way we perceive it to be. What else is there to destroy in this world anyway? What kind of other evil do we need to resurrect? This whole good and evil spat between the Creator and Lucifer was a contest of how many souls they can get. I think Lucy's got the lion's share on that one. Literally speaking, the end of the world would be perceived as death, destruction and mayhem. But really? The end of one's world can be as simple as taking away that one important thing that makes them live and it's not necessarily your breath nor your soul. You can bring on the Apocalypse for anyone. We all have that capability and we don't need Lucifer for that.

2. If there were to be a 6th season (as what the rumor mills have been grinding out), this season should be a good platform to intro the real end. I just hope they won't go and do the Harry Potter path and jump waaay into the future. We'd like to keep the characters just the way they are in our heads - that'll make them legendary, ageless and larger than life. (Yes, Bobby too...)

3. The return of certain characters should be able to assist in the closure of some open ended items. I'm personally curious as to what happened to Jo and Ellen Harvelle. Their characters are very interesting and I would like to see some form of continuance and closure. (And I wanna know if they're okay...I worry!) The only pitfall here is, if they bring in too many returning characters, it might look like a reunion and would open up other confusing situations rather than bring in closure.

4.I have always, ALWAYS been a staunch defender of Lucifer. No, no...put the crucifix down, I'm not a Satanist nor a demon (Would you please stop talking in Latin? Your pronunciation is horrible! It's Deus not Deo...sheesh) One thing disappoints me though - that Lucifer is a man. I've always pictured Lucifer to be a woman. And for the sake of this post, I will refer to her as one. Lucy has always been falsely misrepresented and portrayed. I think I've had 18 million posts here about how she's been unjustly treated. It makes sense that Lucifer is charismatic, kind and all around sympathetic. Nobody is truly evil...well, except me...

5 weeks to go and we've got Supernatural back on your boob tubes (or the internet for some of us folk who don't have CW access)

Supernatural can be seen Thursdays 8PMC/9PM EST on the CW.
