Creative Outburst? Seriously?

So, aside from being unmannered and ill bred, this Boyet Fajardo is also cheap and dumb.

For weeks now, online communities and independent bloggers have been asking everyone to boycott all things Boyet Fajardo. This is due to his horrifying behavior at Duty Free towards two Duty Free employees.

Then he comes out on TV Patrol to apologize, with matching tears in his eyes.

Over at the virtual world, his PR team has this to say:

Fashion designer Boyet Fajardo's abusive behavior against two Duty Free Philippines employees last March 13 at the Duty Free Fiesta Mall outlet in ParaƱaque City was a result of "creative outburst," his spokesman said Tuesday.

“Figure of speech ang kanyang ginawa eh. Bilang fashion designer, artist nga, ay minsan ay nagkakaroon ng mga creative outburst dahil na rin siguro sa pagod na nafi-feel niya ng mga panahon na iyon,” Ricky Rivera, the designer’s spokesman, told ABS-CBN’s morning show, “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

Rivera said Fajardo’s creative outburst, as shown in the YouTube video, could have been misinterpreted by the online petitioners.

He said that based on his conversation with Fajardo regarding the incident, the fashion designer and his two companions did not cuss at the employees.

Rivera said Fajardo was also misinterpreted in the scene where he was angrily pointing his finger at the cashier’s face.

He said the fashion designer was just explaining something to the cashier at the time.

He said everything could have been better understood if the video had audio so that the conversations could have been heard.

Rivera said Fajardo is willing to apologize for his "creative outburst."

He said the fashion designer has already prepared an apology, but he has not been able to face the media since “he was truly affected” by the “traumatic experience.”

Rivera said Fajardo and his family are appealing to bloggers and the online petitioners to hear his side first before calling for a boycott of his RTWs. .

He said the online petitioners should consider Fajardo’s rising international status before pursuing the boycott.

“It’s sad because this happened when there are foreigners interested in bringing a Filipino brand abroad, in Switzerland, and United Arab Emirates, because his [Fajardo’s] creations are unique,” Rivera said.

Wow. You're sticking with that story? Hate to be the one to tell you this but your PR team sucks.

People believe what they see. You took too long to do damage control. You can't even clean up now. The best you can do is to suck it up, be a man (or a relatively effeminate non aesthetic man like creature), tell the world that you had a "diva" moment with all the quasi-successes you've been having and that you'll try not to pull a Naomi Campbell ever again.

Then, get a stylist, because damn. Get an acting coach because Kris Aquino cries better than you. Fire your PR dude and get your money back. Find a charitable institution to work with and hype that up.

Dude, you're so freaking far off the mark, you're not even funny anymore. Oh, and FYI? We'll still be boycotting your stuff. We've told our friends and relatives from here to the ends of the world.
