Supernatural S4E4 - Metamorphosis

Dean finally catches Sam exhibiting his powers, plus he gets reacquainted with the quondam supposed expired Ruby. The inevitable confrontation between brothers was put on hold when they had to take care of a Rugaru (not sure how it's spelled). However subtext abounds and the brothers catch themselves justifying their own perceived imperative actions.
I dropped my jaw when Dean hit Sam. Had a couple of lactic jewels brimming too. The acting was great - again, Jensen Ackles is one talented SOB. The emotions that came out, plus that awkward goofy part at the later part of part 3 with the door was subtle comic genius. He really shouldn't have eyelashes that long - it's illegal.
I'm torn between categorizing this episode as a standalone that can be considered mythos or a part of the ongoing saga to find answers about the Winchester family. Still, all that said and done, it's once again a great episode. It kinda makes Heroes look...dare I say it?...campy.
