Restyo wrote this very interesting topic and I must say that I completely agree with him.
First off, writing should be about self expression. It's an art form! And although I must agree that certain spelling and grammar rules apply (like common SVA or basic spelling), it shouldn't be bogged down with a plethora of rules.
