Dinos Alive!

Posted by The Red Devil on Thursday, October 30, 2008 in
My mini me's first word ever was the word "Capsicum" - which is really a fancy way of saying bell pepper. I tried to make her say "Mommy" or "Mom" at least but all I got was "capsicum".

As you can surmise, my kid is a nerd. Which, she is proudly passing along her brothers. The twins are almost three and for premature identical twin boys, their language, motor and naughty skills are pretty advanced, all things considering. What they're into though are dinosaurs.

The house looks like a rip off from Jurassic Park. They can distinguish what dinosaur is a "good" (herbivore) one and which one "wants to eat them". They can mimic the name but don't expect that they can say it flawlessly. A T-Rex is a Tee-ex for them. Close enough.

***With that said, I'm pretty grateful that the Dinos Alive World tour is coming to Manila (The SM Mall of Asia, to be precise) on November 28.

It's a dinosaur themed mobile park. (Doink. Kaya nga Dinos Alive, di ba?) It has 30 life sized robotic dinosaurs with a 30 foot Tyrannosaurus Banks...este, Rex. They say that the kids can have interactive fun with the robotic giant extinct lizards. Well, that's good because I'd hate for them to be all excited only to have a square OC dude tell my kids that they should keept heir hands to themselves.

There are other activities for the kids aside from gazing and marveling at these creatures. They can ride the Dino train around the area, they can try the giant slide or, my personal favorite, they can dig for fossils the way archeologists do.
