I don't even know what to say.
Was watching Rated K last night and saw this interview Korina Sanchez did on the Siguion-Reynas. Admittedly, I thought that Reyna films was going to be the salvation of Philippine cinema. I love their films! The cinematography, the wonderful actors (for once, Richard Gomez was actually effective) - it was risque and yet, delightfuly poignant.
I saw "Hihintayin kita sa langit" and immediately thought that it was Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte Pinoy style. You can't tear your eyes away from the screen. The sky was a beautiful blue, as complimented by the ocean. It was beautiful.
The Osang flicks were beautiful too. "Ang lalaki sa buhay ni Selya" and "Ligaya ang itawag mo sa akin" were proof that Osang can act. Although in Ligaya, that whole line was over used. I thought that Carlitos and Bibeth were magnificent!
It's just that seeing all three of them together made it a bit incredulous. I've never seen direk Carlitos so uncomfortable! I'm not sure if it's because of his mother's hair. Really Armida, you can do better than that coif.
