The sun from both sides

Was making christmas crap for the office when Ninoy played that song from Dreamgirls, you know, that song Billie Holiday sang. He then said something that piqued my emotions.
"Ang sakit siguro nun ano? Mamatayan ng jowa" (Must hurt, to have your significant other die on you)
I told him nonchalantly that I did lose a boyfriend to death before - bone cancer. I started telling him about how depressed I got and how I'd spend days and nights locked in my room, crying.
I thought that would get me started with the tears, but funny it was something else.
Love comes in so many forms, but now that I am a parent and a wife, nothing can be purer than that of a wife's and mother's love.
I started to cry when I remembered what took me out of that stupor. My mother came in my room and sat down and hugged me. I'll never forget that moment.
"If I could only take that pain you're feeling and have it, I would. It really hurts me to see you like this. It breaks my heart."
She started crying and I followed suit.
