Creativity amidst tears
(Photo from Chuvaness)There were three important events last Sunday that we, the public were subjected to. First, it was Mother's day - the one day that celebrates mothers and all their hard work. I got a very very nice gift from hubby and a lovely hug from all my children. Add to that a very wet, bordering on slobbering kiss from bunsoy - it makes a great holiday.
Second, it was the day before the nation elections. There were policemen everywhere, bombs exploding here and there, violence, mayhem and outright "pananakot". Fear and love, mixed together in one day. You get a hug from your kid and ka-boom! your house is on fire. Beautiful.
Last and most important event was Ruffa Gutierrez' The Buzz appearance and interview. Let's dissect it, why don't we. Forgive the lateness of this post and humor me by just reading.
1. Being an actress myself, one should practice how to cry on national television, especially if you're going to be "sharing" something about your life in public. Any unflattering grimace or unglamorous singhot will be taken against you, divorce or not. This picture does not do her justice. She is, after all a pretty girl. 2nd World princess to boot!
2. Boy Abunda's blatant and irritating prodding (forcing) of Ruffa to admit that Ylmaz beat the crap out of her is just unforgivable. Poor journalism yan pare, it was tasteless, crass, cruel and clumsy at best and just disgusting at the other end of the spectrum. If she does not want to talk about it, DON'T FUCKING FORCE HER! Women who are victims of domestic violence have issues about admitting that it happened to them, especially to a woman whose life is under a microscope all the time. Bakla, na turn off ako sa iyo.
3. The creativity amidst tears. How in the hell did she pull this off? Grabe! Ang gleng gleng!! Habang kumakrayola ang lola niyo eh major plugging ng kanyang mga sponsors!! At teyk note, LAHAT! Winner ito. Pumalakpak ako... ng nakatayo. Ganun ako ka bilib.
4. Yun nga lang, nasira lahat nung sinabi niyang "Nido...that's a milk." Bitin. Parang yung kanta nung bata bata pa ako "When you need a friend, that you can depend".............on. Nido is a milk brand, a supplement for children to augment the nutrition that they are getting from eating solid food. Nido has calcium, DHA, Vitamins and minerals that help your child grow and reach all her developmental and wholistic goals. Shet. Puede akong maging copywriter.
Of course, this got more coverage than the bomb that exploded in the home of public school teachers.
