Never ending or beginning

Running rings around the moon

Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Spinning silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Like the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple

Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
but to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
In the autumn of goodbyes

Gift
When you open this book here, let yourself feel optimistic. Something of benefit is entering your life around this time.
Maybe someone is about to give you an object or possession that will bring you pleasure, joy and satisfaction. Perhaps you are about to receive money, a win of some sort, or something is going to be cheaper than you expected. Be sure to appreciate it, no matter how big or small it may be, because through appreciate we open the door for further gifts.
Maybe your gift won't be as obvious as something which comes gift-wrapped. You may be about to receive a kindness or thoughtful act which will life your heart and enrich your life. Remember that when people put themselves out for you, they provide you with the gift of energy and goodwill. Never take this for granted. This is the true currency of this world. Material goods carry and symbolize this energy while actions and love embody it.
If you are struggling right now, you may be hard pushed to find the gift in your life or to believe that one is just around the corner. Sometimes, the gift to yourself is to find the benefit in your experience. This is what you need to do now. What good will come from what you are going through? What lessons can be learnt?
Know that you will look back and appreciate this with the benefit of hindsight, so you may as well enjoy it now. There is something much better waiting for you and all of this is to make sure that you are available for it.
