Changes, beginnings and hope

Posted by The Red Devil on Friday, September 15, 2006 in
Started with my new company last Monday. What a way to start a new job, While everyone is in a somber mood, reminiscing 9/11, I was excited and giddy to start my new career here in the new office. Of course, I've been labeled as a traitorous scumbag by my former boss. (hehehehe)

First off, I'm not here to compare the old chicken house to the new one. But let me just tell you that I was in the wrong goddamned chicken house! (copyright, Pastor Hermano 2006) This chicken house rocks!

Granted, I don't have YM here, but there's no firewall (for most things), and most things are free. That's right, the most wonderful four letter word exists and thrives here. Juice is free, coffee is free, cappuccino is free, hot chocolate is free, and goddamnit, the latte is free. Of course I got my ass laughed at by a housekeeping staff. I asked her where I should pay the juice I got and she laughed at my ignorant ass before she said it was free.

The pantry looks like a diner. A 50's diner with the lights and couches and all. There's 2 regulation size billiard tables, a gaming network (games include counterstrike, command and conquer, warcraft and age of empires), a table tennis set and table and a foosball gaming table!

The sleeping quarters are amazing! Each floor has a sleeping quarter that can accommodate about 25 single beds and get this, each sleeping area has a theme! The one on the second floor is the Zen room (Japanese inspired room, complete with futons and lamps), the third floor area is a Thai inspired room (elephants, the triangular Thai pillow, etc.) and the fourth floor area is Filipino inspired. I'm telling you, that room ROCKS!

*sigh* I think I'm home.

The people here are nice (just in case Potpot and Mother goose would want to kill someone) They're funny and really nice. I get the feeling that they're real people. Real sosyal people though. It's just weird that I have to immerse myself into another culture. If there's one thing I miss from the old chicken house, it's the people. I do miss the ka-jologan, the funny stuff and the smoking time.

I do miss the team, the entire DTV team.

It's the weekend. I can't believe I just wrote that. No more Saturdays at work!!! WOOOHOO!!!

Have a nice weekend.
